DAWAANDI

Dawaandi – Reflection

Dawaandi invites us to explore the world through reflection, creativity and connection to Country. Through photography, art and storytelling, Bernard Kelly-Edwards shares a way of seeing that encourages us to pause, look closer and discover new perspectives on ourselves, others and the world around us.

DAWAANDI – SHAdow of person – REFLECTION

A Different Way of Seeing

Dawaandi is a Gumbaynggirr word associated with reflection, shadow and image. Drawing on this meaning, I have developed a creative practice exploring how we see ourselves, others and the world around us through art, photography, storytelling and connection to Country.

THE FOUR PRINCIPLES

Patience · Awareness · Balance · Integration

These four principles guide my work. Patience creates space to pause and observe. Awareness helps us recognise what is present. Balance invites us to reflect on our relationships and experiences. Integration brings these discoveries into the way we live and connect with ourselves, others and Country.

CREATIVE EXPRESSION

The Art of Reflection

Through photography, visual art, poetry and creative experiences, Dawaandi explores the relationships between light, shadow, nature and human experience.
It is an invitation to pause, look closer and discover something new.
